Directions
1.To make theGarlic Herb Butter Steak in Oven: Take the steak out of the refrigerator at least 1 – 2 hours before cooking to bring it to room temperature. Pat dry all over with paper towels.
2. Preheat your oven to broil mode to 500ºF (260ºC). Season the steak generously on both sides with salt, pepper, and crumbled bouillon cube (optional).
3. Put the smashed garlic and onion slices in the baking pan and arrange the steak on top. The onions will serve as a roasting rack. Broil the steak for 5 – 7 minutes on the top rack, depending on thickness, then return on the other side and broil for 5 minutes more.
4. Lower the oven temperature to 400ºF (200ºC) and finish broiling the steak for 10 – 12 minutes.Use aninstant-read thermometerto measure the steak’s internal temperature―125ºF (51ºC) for medium-rare, 135ºF (57ºC) for medium.
5. Remove steak from the oven, tent with foil, and allow the meat to rest for 10 minutes. In the meantime, mixtogether soy sauce, melted butter (or olive oil), hot sauce, garlic, parsley, one teaspoon of pepper, and red chili pepper flakes.
6. Slice the meat using a sharp knife beginning by removing the bone, then drizzle the herbs sauce on top before serving. Serve the Garlic Herb Butter Steak immediately. Enjoy!❤️

Tips for the Garlic Herb Butter Steak in Oven recipe
- The secret of this steak recipe is to generously season the meat before roasting in the oven. This will help the roasted steak develop this nice golden crust everyone at your table will rave about!
- Use a meat thermometer for maximum accuracy.
- Make sure to rest the meat before cutting and serving. This will allow the juices to flow back into the meat and make it tender. Cover with foil so the heat will be trapped and evenly distributed around the meat when resting.
Can I sear the steak on the grill?
Yes, sure. If you want to use your grill: Sear the steak for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, letting the flames lick up the sides. You’ll know the steak is ready to flip when it releases easily from the grill. Then arrange on the baking pan and transfer to the preheated oven.
Can I sear the steak on the stovetop?
Again, yes. Heat a cast-iron skillet or griddle with a little oil and sear the steak for 4 minutes or more on each side, depending on the thickness. Then arrange on the baking pan and transfer to the preheated oven.
What to serve with the oven-roasted steak
Serve the roastedsteak with a side of green beans, mashed potatoes, sauteed baby potatoes, and why not a pan of mixed mushrooms, such as shiitake, portobello, and cremini mushrooms?

OMG, this was SOOOOO good!!! It took WAAAAAY too long to cook. After an hour I realized I should have moved the rack down after the broiler sessions. We ended up scoring the meat and lowered the rack and it finally cooked. The sauce was amazing! Would totally make this again!
