What to Know

Critics Consensus

Action-packed and expertly-crafted -- if at times a bit too withholding -- The Mandalorian is a welcome addition to the Star Wars universe that benefits greatly from the cuteness of its cargo.

Bronwyn D Very Good! Mandalorian kicks butt and I love 'baby yoda'Good action scenes. Couple episodes in the middle got a little goofy but turned cool again. Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/09/24 Full Review Andrew A Definitely interesting characters, settings, and plot arcs. Mandalorian was the thing that brought me back to the Disney Star Wars franchise after episode 9 on a recommendation from a friend. There is a certain amount of suspension of disbelief I am happy to tolerate in the effort that it takes to convey a story visually and without benefiting from the inner thought perspective of any of the characters. This season was entertaining to watch. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/06/24 Full Review Frank H One of the better entries from Disney/Marvel Still, this is some milquetoast TV for milquetoast people Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/23/24 Full Review Maximilian B Absolutely fantastic Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/22/24 Full Review Itsa P It turns out that doing space lone wolf and cub as a show really works. The Seven Samurai episode was a bit too cheesy for me but it still works to make an AT-ST seem threatening for the first time ever. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review Kenny K Decent slowburn, but it builds up well. The Mandalorian: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Victoria Segal Times (UK) For all its sci-fi stiltedness, The Mandalorian founded a compelling myth, a world of paranoia, ethical dilemmas and, aah, tiny space kitten things. Just don't take it too seriously. Mar 30, 2020 Full Review The Mandalorian: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Hugo Rifkind Times (UK) It's familiar, yet it is also dark and it sprawls.
