Jelly Roll is as serious about fatherhood as he is about his music career, and he’s not afraid to publicly open up about the love he has for his two kids, teenage daughter Bailee Ann and adolescent son Noah Buddy DeFord.
While most fans are familiar with Bailey, they were recently introduced to Noah through Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie XO, after she received the go-ahead from his mother and custodial parent, Melisa, to let folks meet the little guy on social media.
In a previous TikTok video, the Dumb Blonde Podcast host brought the 6-year-old Noah into the limelight, showing followers his charming personality and sharing some of his favorite things, including the “color red,” “Pokémon,” “cats and dogs,” and “his sister Bailee.”

Jelly Roll Opens Up About His Son For The First-Time Ever
Now, Jelly Roll is revealing why fans are getting to know more about his son after all this time.
In a recent interview withTaste of a Country Nights’ Evan Paul, Jelly Roll said, “Well, you know, what’s funny is that was more on Bunnie and his mother. So, uh, they spoke about it, and he was on vacation, he always goes on vacation with us, and we just always try to shoot around him… and this year, my wife was like, ‘I’m just gonna hit her up and tell her I wanna post,’ and she was like, ‘Yeah, totally cool.’”
Jelly Roll Respects His Son’s Moms Privacy
Putting his kids first, Jelly Roll also reasoned that he does his best to respect the privacy of his baby boy and Noah’s mother because he doesn’t have the same parental rights with his son as he does with Bailee. For him, co-parenting is something that he doesn’t take lightly, and he is always mindful of staying within the guidelines of his baby mama’s boundaries.
“I just always tried to respect their privacy, you know what I mean? With Bailee, I’m the full-time parent. I’m the judge, the jury, and the executioner, when it comes to decisions with her,” Jelly Roll said. “It’s way more of a co-parenting… Actually, it’s just way more of me just supporting her when it comes to my son. So, I try not to get in the way of what she (Melisa) is building over there, and I never want to step on her toes. I’m so proud of her and what she’s doing with him that I want to just respect that boundary.”
When asked at what point he will “tell his son what he has been through and show him the right paths to take in life,” Jelly Roll responds, “God, he’ll probably be a teenager, dude. Bailee’s 15, and I think she just now kinda gets it.”

Introduces Fans To “Baby Mama #2”
Regardless of when he chooses to sit down and have that conversation with Noah, it appears Jelly Roll can do it in his own time as he, Bunnie XO, and Melisa have a strong and friendly relationship. So much so that Bunnie XO also previously took a moment to introduce and rave over Melisa on social media. She even went as far as to tell fans that she “couldn’t imagine” life without Noah’s mother.
“Sweet friends – Meet Noah’s beautiful mommy, Melisa 💖 I wanted y’all to get to see who Baby mama #2 is because we have been so public about Bailee’s mama, it’s only fair y’all get to see & love her as well,” Bunnie XO wrote on Facebook, sharing a picture of the two smiling while standing side by side. She’s one stand-up chick & we couldn’t imagine our lives without her – she holds it down for baby Noah & us especially because we are on the road so much. It takes a village to raise these babies & luckily we have her as a part of the family. 💫 Love you girl! ✨.”
Jelly Roll kicked off his 44-date headlining arena Backroad Baptism Tour on July 28. The trek is scheduled to conclude on Saturday (October 14), in Tampa, Florida, at MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre.
